Q01 When's it out?
No hard date yet. We're on v0.43.1 of the Godot 4.6 build, shipping regularly to testers. Wishlist on Steam to hear the moment we lock a launch window.
Q02 What platforms?
PC (Windows x86_64 + macOS universal binary) at launch. Linux is template-ready, no preset wired yet. iOS / Android are planned post-launch — the platform abstraction layer (ADR-012/013) is already in.
Q03 What is BonkCity actually about?
The block versus the Industry. You play MCs who refuse to let a label manufacture and own the scene. The weapons, drip, mixtapes, Rep Quests, Beefs, and final boss all orbit that one fight: earned identity against fake authenticity.
Q04 How long is a run?
The Industry Plant arrives at 14:00 in a default run. The Extended Run Beef pushes that boss clock to 20:00. After victory, you can cash out or keep going into the Eternal Cypher for leaderboard score.
Q05 How do weapon Evolutions work?
Pick two specific weapons, level both to 8, and they fuse into a single evolved weapon — the run's capstone. Four are character signatures; six are gated behind a specific mixtape at level 3+. Q06 Is there multiplayer?
Not real-time co-op at launch. Today the competitive loop is async: daily seeded runs, global leaderboards, build sharing, Beefs, and Eternal Cypher score chasing.
Q07 How do you keep leaderboards honest?
Every run is submitted with an HMAC-signed payload tied to the player's session. Server-side sanity bounds flag impossible stats, rate-limits cap submissions (30/hr, 20/24h on daily boards), and only runs where hmac_ok=true and flags are empty count for the top charts. Flagged runs are kept but shown with a warning chip — transparency over cover-up.
Q08 Are there microtransactions?
No. One price, whole game. Drip is earned by playing, not swiped.
Q09 Is this a Vampire Survivors clone?
It shares the auto-attack horde-survivor DNA. But the run length, build-craft via perk-card drafts, and the drip-as-identity layer are all our own. If you liked VS or Brotato, you'll feel at home — and then you'll notice the block.
Q10 Who's making it?
A small team using Claude Code Game Studios' multi-agent architecture — 48 specialist Claude Code subagents coordinated by a human core. Experimental pipeline, production game.
